Can You Come Up With Some New Industries For L.A.?

This beauty can be yours for just $6,800 at RVTrader.com.
The City of Los Angeles has a sky-high unemployment rate of 14.7%. Plus, the Mayor and City Council are not what you'd call "average" or "above average" in the IQ department.

Your mission, Mr. Phelps, is therefore to imagine some new industries for L.A.

I'll go first.

You know how they have all those food trucks roaming around the City? Well, how about RV hotels? If big trucks can pull up, park and start doing business as restaurants, they may as well be hotels, too.

While we're at it, let's throw in RV medical marijuana clinics. And since one victimless crime is pretty much like another, let's license RV casinos and RV bordellos.

One caveat:  the RV's can park only in front of the homes of the Mayor, City Council Members, DWP executives and CRA executives.

Okay, your turn. Use the "comments" feature to share your ideas to boost employment in L.A.

  1. How about RV bordellos (woops, they're already in place!).
How about closing the Mayor's residence and giving him an RV to drive to all of the photo opportunities -he can get his breath-mint holders in the RV also.

  2. If Tony V lived in his RV, then we can rent out all the rooms in the Mayor's mansion. Just think of how many hookers we could employ there.
