City Councilman Garcetti Costs Local Actor A Dream Gig

Artist's conception of Garcetti cameo.
One of the best TV shows is called "The Closer," an L.A. police drama. It's one of the few shows still taped here.

If you're a struggling actor -- I know, redundant -- be sure to thank City Councilman Eric Garcetti for screwing you out of a dream gig on the show's season finale.

You see, besides masquerading as a City Councilman, he took YOUR role as L.A.'s Mayor on the show tonight.

Ugh.

Garcetti play-acting as Mayor on one show.  The Mayor play-acting as Mayor on another -- remember, the soap opera? What's next? Cardenas on "Jersey Shore?" Jan Perry as a corpse on CSI? Rosendahl as . . . as what?

Hey, let's make this a game.  Use the "comments" feature to nominate Spring Street Gang members for TV shows. The winner gets . . . nothing, unless he's got a non-profit with a Spanish name.

  1. Paul Koretz as Mr Potato Head.

Tom LaBonge as Clarabell, although Clarabell had brains.

  2. You'd have to make new shows for these Clowns:
Janice Hahn in "In Search of...a Brain"
    Richard Alarcon in "CSI: Clownhouse."
    Garcetti: "The Closer...of Small Businesses."
Koretz: "Have Overpaid Job, Will Travel."
    Krekorian: See Koretz above
Bill Rosendahl: "CSI: Venice Poop Dump."
Zine: "Star Trek: the Search for Discretionary Parade Funds."
Huizar, Reyes, and Cardenas: "The Three Slushfund Amigos."
    Herb Wesson: "The Councilman Whisperer"
