press release saying that the Villaraigosa administration has spent $111 million in federal funds intended to create jobs -- specifically, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds -- and created just 55 jobs.
That works out to $2,018,181 per job.
If that's not a prima facie case of embezzlement, what is?
It's time for City Attorney Carmen Trutanich, District Attorney Steve Cooley, California Attorney General Jerry Brown and U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte to start investigating where all this federal tax money went. That money was supposed to create jobs, not vanish in a puff of corrupt smoke.
