S#*! Your Mayor Squanders Your Money On

Here are few of the latest boondoggle "contracts" awarded by Mayor Villaraigosa and the Spring Street Gang. Thousands and thousands of dollars that could be staying in your pocket, or that you could be spending on people who provide real services -- like trial lawyers, for example:

Over $12,000 for what? Two frikkin' dances? "Both in English and Spanish?" I'd rather have a new motorcycle.

Wait, $9,200 for ONE dance? ONE?! Who's going to see this? How about if the audience pays $9,200?

Wow. Over $21,000 for three dances. Remind me: how much does it cost to pay a librarian for a year?

Now we're picking dancers based on race? Latina dancers? What's next, Latino dancers?

Hey, does someone smell sex discrimination? The Latinas get $5,700, but the Latinos get $55,360. And don't you love the term "pan-Latino culture?" That means it runs the full gamut, from Mexican to Salvadoran. Krikey.

Is there some reason the private sector can't already handle the public's needs for dancing? Anyone? Bueller?

Why is City Hall in the business of putting on theatrical productions? Why is it competing with private groups?

How about fixing potholes first?

  1. Isn't it amazing how the city can justify all this waste? When do you think the council will wake up and realize that the elimination of real services will jeopardize the city residents and also affect their remaining in office.

Looking on the bright side, these sorts of ridiculous actions by Garcetti, Parks, Huizar & the other clowns gives <a href="http://lacleansweep.com>LA Clean Sweep more support from the general public. That and all this money spent on culture for immigrants gives us all more pride in ourselves and any of the illegals the council is busy trying to support & bribe until they become legal voters! Shouldn't we all be proud of that instead of spending money on necessary, legitimate services that would benefit all the city residents? Get real! We know which route they'll take every time!

  2. Walter, about your question, "How about fixing potholes first", why would they bother if they can get more press and more good-will by supporting cultural events for immigrants and the other minority here in MECHA country?

I'm sure you agree with me, Amigo. These people are real, pendejo (stupid) clowns and have no business running the city! The time for good candidates to oppose the clowncil in all the districts is now before the city goes bankrupt.
