VICA Suffering Stockholm Syndrome

VICA, a group of business people in the Valley, have formed a political action committee with an eye towards contributing to a Mayoral campaign by developer Rick Caruso or Deputy Mayor Austin Beutner. So says the Daily News.

A PAC to give money to Caruso or Beutner? Really? And they're expecting some kind of change from that? 

As for Caruso, he's a developer. Do they really think developers aren't already running the show?

As for Beutner, he's the de facto Mayor while Tony's flitting from photo-op to photo-op. Result? Unemployment in the City of L.A. is at 14.7%-- the highest since at least 2000, and much higher than state and national averages.

VICA apparently suffers from Stockholm syndrome; they have fallen in love with their captors. Too bad.
