Thank goodness! It's official: Althea Shaw's name will appear on the March 8, 2011 ballot for City Council. You may not realize this, but it's pretty doggone hard to get the required 500 valid signatures to accomplish this. Think about how you yourself avoid even making eye contact with strangers holding clip boards. To get your name on the ballot, you have to convince 500 perfect strangers, and three dozen imperfect ones, to stop, listen, and then write down their name, home address, and give you there autograph.
Way to go, Althea.
Let's hope David Barron gets his papers in soon, too. We need him on the ballot. To see who has qualified, and who has not, click here for the latest list from the City Clerk.
A GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO ALTHEA !

As you probably know the lame ducks are voting as of now for the DREAM act. Hold your breath. The sweet senators of this state will vote for it.
ReplyDeleteDREAM ACT PASSES HOUSE! NOW WE ARE ALL MEXICANS!
ReplyDeleteUpdate: Just in: Pelosi sells Encino, CA to Mexico!
Update: Just in: Wayne deported from Encino!
The Senate votes MANANA (tomorrow gringos) on these three Pelosi votes.
Will Wayne be deported? Will Encino return to Mexican hands since 1870? Will every little terrorist boy and girl be given a green card to "go to school?"
TUNE IN TOMORROW!
8 REPUBLICRATS in house voted for dream act.
Three are Cubanos from Florida, and the other 5 are retired or wish they were retired Housemembers.
If they pass this thing, then we should all retire and GO ON PUBLIC ASSISTANCE! If it does get passed, you'll see a voter REBELLION in this country the likes not seen since 1929! The dumb dumbs in Washington are clueless. But one thing is clear: The folks paying the bills for the freeloaders aren't going to continue. I'll leave you with one more clue: Harry Reid NEVER thought Pelosi would get the House to pass this crap, so he wasn't worried. NOW, HE'S REALLY REALLY WORRIED about it! He's been reelected, and won't want to live with this vote around his neck next year and to 2012.
