Don't let this wipe that egg-nog induced smile off your delightful face, but the Los Angeles Times has documented yet another example of the incompetence of the moron elected Mayor of Los Angeles due to overwhelming indifference of the City's voters.Villaraigosa is always so preoccupied with his next photo-op that he doesn't even take the trivial steps needed to spend "free" money from the federal government to promote employment. Here's an example from the article:
In one instance uncovered in an audit by City Controller Wendy Greuel, four transportation projects that were supposed to be "shovel-ready" — including the installation of 85 left-turn signals and 25 new traffic lights — were not put out to bid for seven months after they were approved by state and federal officials in the summer of 2009.
Hey, no need to rush, Mr. Mayor. I mean, so what if your policies have produced an unemployment rate of 13.7% in Los Angeles, while the rate in Orange County and nation-wide was 9.7%. What's another seven months looking in vain for a job, after all?
Don't you wish you could sue politicians for malpractice? This would be a slam-dunk.
But you can't, so just go back to the egg nog and forgive me for even mentioning this.

Man, what a merry-go-round ride this is! The same hacks keep getting elected, by the same apathetic voters. The result is more costs for less services. How do we get off this ride? Clean sweep is going to need a bigger broom.
ReplyDeleteNot only did I ask Santa for a real mayor, I asked for the ability to sue our elected officials for the depreciation of the value of our public and private properties and the negative impact that they have allowed graffiti to create. Including the power of graffiti to create fear and insecurity in our communities and robbing our freedom from intimidation from these roaming gangs on our streets.
ReplyDeleteRespectfully,
Candidate David Barron CD6

does the city get to count that as funds in their general fund, and then use it as reference when they say they are still in the black, or not as far in the red?
ReplyDeleteEvery person who voted for Villaraigosa should pay TREBLE damages to all the property owners in CDs 2,3,5,6,7,and 12. Voting for this pig has seriously declined property values. It's time for these Liberal Democrat freak voters to pay for their damage caused by their voting record to the non-mentally challenged folks who were here first! The guy is a retard working as a de facto agent for the Gov't of Mexico. Huizar and Cardenas spend all their time and taxpayer $$$ for their whore fests in Mexico that they call
ReplyDelete"Celebrations" and "Book Tours." How can illiterates have a God Damn Book tour in Mexico no less?
So how's the vote going to be in March 2011? It would take massive electric shock therapy in CD2 for those knuckleheads to outs Karpetbag Krookorian. It would take a great flood to wake up the mindless in CD12 that the Smith chief of staff IS the INCUMBANT and should be tossed out.
In CD 6 and 14, well, "No speake the Engishe there!" In CD 4, 8, 10, who the hell wants to live in those parts of town anyway, and second, who votes for Wesson, Parks, and the LaBonge-Hit guys?
In CD 2, for example, last year part of it was called "Van Nuys." The South White majority population of Van Nuys fought and won the right to be called "Sherman Oaks"!!! Thus, South Van Nuys CECEDED from the Valley Union! Get this: CD2 at that crucial vote was VACANT! Yet the counsel voted for it anyway!
Why? Because the name change raises property values, thus MORE PROPERTY TAX $$$ FOR THE CITY DOWN THE ROAD!
Then there is Benedict Canyon: Bevery Hills' famous "90210" Zip Code is SHARED by the City of Beverly Hills and PART OF L.A. CITY called "Bevery Hills Post Office!" I couldn't make up this crap! Bevery Hills City folks actually got the ball rolling on having the Post Office CUT off the L.A. portion from using the 90210 zip code! It failed, mainly because this would be a "taking" of these L.A. City residence's property values of about 20-25% of assessed value.
Bottom Line: You idiots around the City really need to start reevaluating how you vote, because if you keep it up and keep electing this band of scum, no one will buy a damn property located in L.A. City Limits and that means you homeowners are going to lose everything you ever worked for!
WAKE THE HELL UP FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a FREE COUNTRY such as this there is still no way , on the books, to get rid of of crooks ? Wow, what a country, that allows foreign countries with the slimiest of intentions to do as they please! No recourse, no nothing, just sit on your hands and take it. NO RECOURSE!
