POST-SCRIPT - DECEMBER 15, 2010:
My prediction was right, except for the name. Time named Mark Zuckerberg "Person of the Year." Maybe next time.
If you've got a big brain and a short attention span, you've come to the right place: essays, pictures and video from Walter Moore, an attorney and former candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles. Welcome to WalterMooreSays.com.

Hitler also was Time's Man of the Year. In 2012,
ReplyDeleteGov. Brown will be Man of Year: When he files Bankruptcy papers for the whole state of California!
Cities can declare bankruptcy, but states cannot. Uh oh!
ReplyDeleteEven though Kevin James comes on krla at 12:00 a.m. he must read your blog. Last night night he introduced the next Atty. General candidate. He is fully engaged in local politics, and will introduce them to the local audiences in the coming days.
ReplyDeleteStates cannot declare bankrutcy, but they can go broke.
ReplyDeleteThat check from the state can bounce and banks will refuse to honor a check if they think they are no good. Where does it say banks must accept checks issued by the State of California?
The Federal Government is going to be next.
If the Federal Reserve continues course, I predict in the not too distant future people will refuse to accept the "almightly" dollar as payment and demand payment in gold. At which point, the Federal Government collapses...
All beside the point. I disagree about Assange become "Man of the Year". What did he do other than accept secret U.S. documents and post them on the internet? What is so noteworthy about that?
TIME has been making goofy choices lately. I don't pay any attention any more.
Great posts on this page! Kevin James is great at local issues, BUT he can't seem to get any of his guys elected. Cooley and Sunder Romani got hosed, etc. He's spending too much time kissing up to these candidates, rather than examining THE ISSUES with these guys. It's a shame to hear him interview these candidates, it's like Oprah with a Texas Graduate degree wrapped up in a registered Republican's body!
ReplyDeleteWhat he needs to elicit from these clowns-to-be and current elected clowns is: WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BANKRUPTING MY CITY! WHY WON'T YOU REPRESENT THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE BILLS IN THIS CITY? WHY DO ALL YOU GUYS SAY THE SAME B.S. EVERY ELECTION AND DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE EVERY TIME?
Now, if someone can demonstrate he/she is really a different "CAT" to quote Dennis Miller, then they'll show their true colors and we'll begin to find some leaders!
This D.A. guy last night: Not one question was asked that wasn't a softball! On the D.A. front, here's a great set of questions he didn't ask:
"As D.A. will you or will you not file criminal charges on the 1601 N. Vine St. project?" "Will you support dissolving the City of Vernon?" "Will you support the dissolution of the following cities in L.A. County: Maywood, Bell, and THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES?"
Then we have Kevin's good buddy, Dennis Zine. Jesus, here's a guy who hangs around with the taxpayer's worst enemies: Lee Canon Alpert and Chis Essel! If you want to see a picture worth a MILLION WORDS: Google: Zine, CD3. When you get to Zine's CD3 website, you'll see a LINK to his VERY OWN NEWSLETTER--YES, A FRIGGIN GLOSSY NEWSLETTER PAYED FOR WITH WHOSE MONEY? Next, look up the CURRENT FALL 2010 EDITION. Next go to page 11, you'll see a photo called "Parallax"
and there's Zine, with CO-HOST Lee canon Alpert and special Guest Essel! All big fat SMILES!
Oh, who are the two people with Zine?
Chris Essel: Chief of the CRA--after she lost CD2 to Krookorian, Mayor Villar put her in charge of the CRA with a 200k a year salary and a staff of HUNDREDS! She is supporting the 1601 N. Vine st PROJECT with a payout of 1.2 MILLION for a tiny burger stand!
Lee Canon Alpert: HEAD OF THE DWP COMMISSION, He has ONE MEMBER COMMITTEES and he votes on your rate HIKES!
It's Christmas day every day for these overpaid, overstaffed leaders of L.A. City!
Then Kevin spends half the show talking about FOOTBALL! He seems to need to do this to just break away from all this acrimony.
As for the comment by Walter, HE'S 100% CORRECT--A STATE UNDER THE OBLIGATION OF CONTRACTS CLAUSE of the Constitution cannot BREACH contracts--thus California is really screwed then! (I mean we are here are screwed big time!)
So Time has a track record similar to the Nobel committee? Besides they already listed whistle blowers in 2002 and wouldn't he fall under that?
ReplyDeleteMr Wayne, if I qualify for the ballot, I'm willing to show my real colors as a different "CAT"
ReplyDeleteHere are my colors; I despise immensely with a passion the disgraceful service the mayor and City Council has delivered to the hard-working taxpayers of Los Angeles, which has placed our City on the brink of bankruptcy!
Respectfully,
Using the "Freedom of Speech"
I'm david barron
an L.A. City employee
David Barron is the "real deal." I support him 100%. We need him on the City Council.
ReplyDeleteI noticed when we got home from France that Time has already put Assange on its cover.
ReplyDeleteOui? Le Time sans le presse!
ReplyDeleteViva La Mexico!
(The Senate still has to vote on the DREAM ACT: It passed the House which included selling Encino, CA to Mexico. If the Senate turns it down, I'll be back!)
Mark Zuckerberg???? ROTFLMAO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTIME has done it again...
