Yeah, it's raining. Yeah, it's the Community College Board. But if you vote, you get an exceptionally cool "I voted" sticker.
Vote for Gutierrez. Here's a link so you can find your polling place.
POST-SCRIPT:
Oh! As Amy Alkon (syndicated columnist on whom Governor Schwarzenegger tried to hit while in traffic on Lincoln) reminds me -- see comment below -- there IS the matter of that Congressional seat up for grabs, too!
SON-OF-POST-SCRIPT
I voted, as had 13 other people in my precinct by 4:30 p.m.

Also, a bunch of losers are running for Jane Harman's seat. Every one of them has robocalled me. Janice Hahn called me at home to apologize - not that her apology means she'll stop robocalling, she let me know. The biggest benefit of her call: I observed firsthand that she seems to have all the intelligence of a ficus tree. Ask her a question that's the slightest bit tough and she wilts.
ReplyDeleteAnd sorry to be a broken record, Walter, but I'd vote for you in a hot second for that seat. Debra Bowen is probably the least jerkoffish of the lot, but I got robocalls from the Lantern Project supporting her. LIke she doesn't know they're doing that and doesn't totally support that. Repeatedly.
Hey, you can play that particular broken record any time. I appreciate the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Since I don't live in that district, and pay less attention to politics now, I forgot all about it! Thanks for mentioning it!
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, forgetting about this race. A lot of forgettable people are running.
ReplyDeleteOne hopes that the Democrats split their votes three ways (between Hahn, Winograd, and Bowen) and that all of the Republicans got behind a single candidate - that's the only way for a Republican to win in the 36th CD.
