You know lawyers have filed a lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) against the City of Los Angeles for its busted-up, impassable sidewalks, right?
Well, if the people of L.A. had elected yours truly instead Villaraigosa, we wouldn't be in this mess. You know what the Mayor focused on instead? Yet another of his grandiose "I will create a million ________ (fill in the blank)" statements. He had just fallen down on his bicycle, so he pledged a million miles of bike paths to go with the million trees, and the million potholes filled, and all the other manic million myths that never materialized.
What did we get instead? A $1.5 billion-dollar lawsuit.
So maybe in 2013, instead of electing one of the same special-interest puppets who have been running the City for the past 12 years, just maybe the voters should consider electing someone honest and smart like, say, Kevin James. I bet he can manage to fix the sidewalks AND provide some bike paths.
In the meantime, those of us who voted for me get to say, "Don't blame me, I voted for Walter Moore."
I knew it, according to krla news Mayor Tony is in Washington, working on his next gig, helping Obama on his reelection campaign and working on the voting block, comprehensive immigration reform
ReplyDeleteThere was a typo in your comment. You typed "comprehensive immigration reform," which is actually spelled a-m-n-e-s-t-y.
