Kevin James will beat the three City Hall insiders against whom he is running, namely, Eric Garcetti, Wendy Greueul and Jan Perry. He will beat them because now, at last, he has got them exactly where he wants them: in debates with media coverage.
Garcetti, Greuel and Perry cannot possibly win in a debate, because they themselves are responsible for this City's problems. They have no answers. And in a debate, you can't hide behind your special interest money, your axe-men and your consultants. It's just you, your opponents, the media, the voters and the truth.
Indeed, former prosecutory Kevin James did such an outstanding job of laying out the facts that even the Los Angeles Times, which did all it could to denigrate his campaign, had to focus on him in its story about the first debate. Go, Kevin James, go!
